• The Remote control is available in 3 configurations depending on how advanced you wish it to be (same price for each remote).
• In Basic mode, the Remote controls includes a volume control and a "home" button, with the option to select both hearing aids or right/left. It also includes an on/off button to stop the remote making changes when accidentally pressed.
• The Intermediate option adds a program button to allow the user to switch between different, clinician-set programmes to suit different environments. It also adds a "mute" function, to mute your hearing aids.
• The Advanced remote build on the Intermediate by adding an extra "favourite" star button. This button can be configured by your clinician to activate certain features available on your hearing aids. It can typically be programmed to start/stop media streaming from a TV (SurfLink media required), activate a tinnitus program, or switch on IQ Boost, a special setting which ensures the hearing aid microphone is at its most focussed and noise reduction on maximum for use in very noisy places. These settings need to be discussed with your clinician when fitting the hearing aids and some may not be available on all hearing aid models.
